 Each time I travel to Europe I am struck by the immense
opportunity we have to influence others for Christ. I see
a fundamental role in influencing is preparing young
missionaries and national leaders for spiritual leadership.
For example, a rising young leader in one of our Eastern Europe
partner ministries told one of our Area Directors, "What I need
the most is someone to mentor me." That is a heart cry, I
believe, of every young missionary on the field as well.
I believe we've done a good job of preparing our missionaries
for ministry but I also believe we can do even more to equip
them to be skilled servant leaders.
